Dear BusinessLeague Community,

We are approaching the final stage of Season 3, set to run from August 5 to December 1, 2024. This period is crucial for all of us – marketers, merchants, and 2Performant alike.

In our ongoing commitment to fostering a fair and predictable business environment, we’re introducing four significant updates to the BusinessLeague regulations. Let me walk you through these important modifications that will shape our journey in the coming months.

  1. Limiting CSS per Merchant: Starting from Round 2 (September 2), we’re introducing caps on the number of CSS a merchant can work with, based on their level:
  • Unicorns: max 5
  • Corporations: max 3
  • Companies: max 2
  • Start-ups/Freelancers/Newcomers: max 1
  1. Notice Period Changes: Effective from next season (December 2, 2024):
  • The notice period for changing affiliate program conditions, including accepted traffic sources, will be 6 months.
  • Terminating collaboration with a marketer (excluding fraud cases) will have varying notice periods based on the marketer’s level:
    • Unicorns: 6 months
    • Corporations: 3 months
    • Companies: 2 months
    • Start-ups/Freelancers: 1 month
  1. 100% Focus on Sales: From next season:
  • We’ll close all lead programs
  • Cost Per Lead will be eliminated for the existing portfolio
  • We’ll exclusively launch online stores at Cost Per Sale
  1. Updated Thresholds and Bonuses for Challenges: Starting from the first round of Stage 3 (August 5), we’re updating thresholds and bonuses for all Challenges across levels:
  • Unicorns – First to 1,000 – record prize €1,000
  • Corporations – First to 500 – record prize €500
  • Companies – First to 100 – record prize €100
  • Start-ups – First to 20 – record prize €100

These thresholds and prizes apply to all three challenges for both merchants and marketers. The Attempt duration remains 2 days and Cooldown time 1 day.

The BusinessLeague reflects 2Performant’s vision for collaboration between marketers and online merchants.
Our aims are to:

  • Promote business ethics, constant effort, perseverance, innovation, and ambition
  • Recognize and celebrate records and champions – past, present, and future
  • Provide trust and predictability to our best clients and users

We achieve this by regularly updating collaboration rules in our complex and fast-evolving industry, ensuring they’re respected, and that ethically generated results are rewarded promptly as promised.

We’ll be announcing additional regulation updates in the coming months. I’d like to invite you all to discuss these changes further at our upcoming meetup. You can find more details and RSVP here.

I congratulate all of you for your continuous efforts and for all the sales you are getting! We’re heading into a VERY interesting end of the year.

Good Luck & Have Fun!

Dorin
