The Speed Park Bacau was host to the second stage of the eKarting Championship that we’ve been following for a while now. The mini-champs are giving it their all every stage and we believe they need more exposure.
After a first stage where her electric wheels ran into some problems, our protege Analisse Ionașcu was ready to go for the podium once more at the MiniWat category we have grown so fond of. And this time she had a new kart.
The Qualifications started well for Anelisse, as she constantly improved her numbers. Her best lap was just below UNCIULEANU’s who won Qualies and started from #1, with Anelisse at #2. The rest of the pack, all boys, were RUSU, PISICA, and TARICEANU.
A great day for a great first final. Just like a month ago, at the Titi Aur Academy in stage 1, Anelisse was center of attention with her composure and smart driving, but also looking at her matchup with RUSU (43) who ended up overtaking her when it mattered. All throughout the 5 laps of the race it was a battle to be remembered, and probably both racers will. And learn from it. Anelisse finished 3rd, with less than half a second behind her main opponent.
As they readied for the second final of the day, parents and organisers crunched the numbers. Off they went, and again it was a race for popcorn and shouting. Obviously we had neither. RUSU dominated the race this time and congrats to him. He was followed by UNCIULEANU, PISICA, IONAȘCU and TARICEANU. So a 4th place for our girl in the second final, but an overall 3rd on the podium, which is definitely another milestone to build on.
A hug and loud ”congratulations” for Anelisse – it’s the second season she’s showing us what grit and determination mean. And to all racers really for showing up every day for practice, turning up at races across the county. Not easy for the parents either, but this is passion and love for the competition.
Next up? Bacău again on July 12th & 13th. And then back to Bucharest for the next 3 stages. We’ll be there!
