While “less distractions” at your home is debatable, nothing compares to the comfort of your favourite room and chair (even couch). Your house is the place you live, the place which you arranged to your taste. At home, you can drink your coffee from your favourite cup or your can listen to the music you love.

3) Plenty of time and gas money saved by avoiding rush hour traffic

Most of us are not fortunate enough to work 5 to 10 minutes away from their home. The amount of time saved by not having to go to work every day is astonishing. Let’s say, for example, that your workplace is 45 minutes away from your home. That means 1 hour and a half, spent in traffic, to get to work and back home. With some calculations, if you work 11 months per year, by not having to drive to work, you would save 330 hours which translates in around 14 days!

Working from home can give you two weeks per year not spent in traffic, but on your couch!

4) You can have your own schedule

Nowadays, a lot of the work can be done remotely, especially affiliate marketing. This means that, as long as you meet your deadlines, you can work whenever you feel like, including during the night. It is also important to remember to take breaks, but the best part of working from home/remotely is that you can spend that break time as you wish. You can do things that are not possible in a traditional office like playing your drum kit.

5) You will learn more and be more independent

Because you don’t have an entire tech team in your living room or colleagues around you, you will get most of your answers from the internet. This process of finding a solution, getting more information rather than just getting the direct answer from your colleague, will help you become more proactive to find what you need.Also, your writing skills will get better since you will have to write more clear and concise e-mails as they will represent your main way of communicating.

Managing your own business may not always be easy, but it sure gives you a lot of satisfaction. That feeling, after all that hard work you’ve put into your creation, into your idea, can be hardly matched.
